This notice covers SIA Vigyan — the Android app (com.sia.engine) and siavigyan.com — run by SIA NextGen Technologies Private Limited (CIN U62099UP2026PTC250866), 448/185, Nagaria, Thakurganj, Lucknow – 226003, Uttar Pradesh, India (“SIA”, “we”), the company responsible for your data. Questions and requests go to our Grievance Officer (section 9).
1. What we collect, why, and for how long

We do not collect card, UPI or bank details (Razorpay and Google Play take payment), your device location, contacts or photos. The Android app uses no advertising identifier and tells Meta nothing; the website uses one third-party tracker, the Meta Pixel, as the table says. Meta never receives your birth details, charts, questions or readings. You can block the pixel with your browser’s privacy settings or an ad blocker, and SIA works the same without it. Voice input is converted to text by your phone’s own speech service; SIA receives only the text. A guest who tries SIA before signing in is an anonymous account handled the same way.
2. Who handles it
We never sell or rent your data. It is processed only by the providers who run SIA for us — Google Cloud and Firebase (hosting, sign-in and storage in the Mumbai region; analytics and crash reports in the app), OpenAI (USA) for the AI step in section 3, Razorpay Payments Private Limited (website payments), Google Play (app purchases), Zoho (email), Meta/WhatsApp (one trial-end message), Meta Platforms (the website’s advertising measurement, section 1) — by our own staff for support, billing and quality review, and by authorities where a law requires it. None of them may use your data for its own purposes, except that Meta also uses the website’s advertising data under its own terms to deliver and improve ads — you can see and limit this in Facebook’s and Instagram’s settings (“Your activity off Meta technologies”); payment companies keep the payment records the law requires of them.
3. The AI step, and what leaves India
To put a reading into words, SIA sends your question and the chart facts needed to answer it to a language model run by OpenAI, under a data-processing agreement with us. It does not send your name, birth details, phone number or email. OpenAI processes it in the USA, does not use it to train its models and keeps abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days. Your stored account, charts and history stay in the Mumbai region. The model only phrases the reading; it adds no fact and no verse. Use the thumbs-down under any answer that is wrong or offensive.
4. Sensitive details
If a question mentions a health condition or similar sensitive matter, we use it — and send it to the AI provider — only to answer that question, and never publish it. By sending the question you consent to this. You never need to share such details; a reading does not require them. SIA is not a medical service and replaces no doctor.
5. Why we may use your data
Your consent, given when you create your account and each time you ask a question, which you may withdraw at any time by writing to us or deleting your account; the fact that you gave us the details for the reading you asked for; and our legal duties. The trial-end message is optional and stops on request.
6. Adults only; family members
You must be 18 or older to use SIA. You may add another person’s birth details only with their authority; for anyone under 18 you must be their parent or lawful guardian, and your confirmation is the parent’s consent.
7. Deletion and what survives
Delete a chart any time in the app; delete your whole account in the app (Settings → Delete account) or at siavigyan.com/delete-account. Deletion removes your data from the app and our live systems at once and ends the sign-in on every device. What survives, for fixed periods the law sets: purchase records (8 years), security logs (180 days; one year from 13 May 2027, as a sealed record opened only on a lawful request), Google Play’s own order records, and providers’ copies until their contractual deletion (Google within 180 days; OpenAI within 30 days). A Google Play subscription is not cancelled by deleting your account — cancel it in Google Play first. An account unused for three years is erased after a warning.
8. Security
SIA implements appropriate technical and organisational security measures, under a written Information Security Policy, designed to protect personal data from loss, misuse and unauthorised access; access to stored data is logged and the logs are retained as the law requires. If your data is ever exposed we tell you without delay what happened and what we are doing. These are the reasonable security practices agreed between you and SIA.
9. Your rights, and the Grievance Officer
You may see a summary of your data and who it was shared with; correct it (a birth record, always free); erase it; withdraw consent; nominate someone to act for you; and complain. Write, quoting the email or phone on your account, to:

You may also approach the National Consumer Helpline (consumerhelpline.gov.in) or the Consumer Commission where you live or work (e-jagriti.gov.in), and, from 13 May 2027, the Data Protection Board of India after using this route.
