Budha — Mercury

Mercury is the speech of the Kāla-puruṣa and the prince of the court: well-built, fond of laughter, of mixed constitution. He is the kāraka of friends and the maternal uncle, rules Mithuna and Kanyā, and is exalted at 15° Kanyā — his exaltation and his own sign coincide, with the mūlatrikoṇa between.

What SIA does with this

SIA computes Mercury's sidereal longitude for the birth moment from its own Sūryasiddhānta model, places it in the rāśi, bhāva and all sixteen vargas, states its dignity (exaltation, debilitation, mūlatrikoṇa, own or friendly sign), and fires every rule in its store whose condition names Mercury — each printed with its verse. The graha's position and daśā periods are part of the free chart view.
