Guru — Jupiter

Jupiter gives knowledge and happiness in the Kāla-puruṣa and sits as minister in the grahas' court: large-bodied, tawny, of kapha constitution, versed in every śāstra. He is the kāraka of knowledge and merit and of children, rules Dhanu and Mīna, and holds the second-longest Vimśottarī span after Venus and Saturn — sixteen years.

What SIA does with this

SIA computes Jupiter's sidereal longitude for the birth moment from its own Sūryasiddhānta model, places it in the rāśi, bhāva and all sixteen vargas, states its dignity (exaltation, debilitation, mūlatrikoṇa, own or friendly sign), and fires every rule in its store whose condition names Jupiter — each printed with its verse. The graha's position and daśā periods are part of the free chart view.
