The twelve bhāvas
The twelve houses counted from the lagna are the frame every reading hangs on. Phaladīpikā's first chapter lists their classical names — a house is known by what it governs — and Parāśara's bhāveśa-phala chapter states, lord by lord and position by position, what the ruler of each house does from anywhere in the chart.
SIA reads a matter in the order the texts do: the house-lord first, then the kāraka, then the occupants and aspects. The pages below print the first witness for every house — the complete grid of its lord's placements, one verse per cell.
