Phaladīpikā — the names of the house
लग्नं होरा कल्यदेहोदयाख्यं रूपं शीर्षं वर्तमानं च जन्म । वित्तं विद्या स्वान्नपानानि भुक्तिं दक्षाक्ष्यास्यं पत्रिका वाक्कुटुम्बम् ॥
TranslationLagna, Hora, Kalya (कल्य), Deha (देह) Udaya (उदय), Rupa (रूप), Seersha (शीर्ष), Vartamana (वर्तमान - living) and Janma (जन्म) are the names of the Ascendant or the first house. Vitta (वित्त- wealth), Vidya (विद्या - learning), Swa (स्व), Annapana (अन्नपान-riches food and drink), Bhukti (भुक्ति - (eating), the right eye (दक्षाक्षि - Dakshakshi), face (आस्य - Asya), letter or document (पत्रिका - Patrika), speech (वाक्-Vak) and Kutumba (कुटुम्ब) are appellations for denoting the second house.

If the 2nd lord is in the 3rd or 4th house, then the native is valiant, intelligent, virtuous, proud of another's wife, greedy, or a critic of the gods.
धनेशे सुतभावस्थे पुत्रतो धनवान् भवेत् । कृपणो दुःखभाग्जातो यशस्वी पुत्रवान् भवेत् ।।१२।।
If the 2nd lord is in the 5th house, then he is wealthy through children, miserly, one who experiences sorrow, famous, and a father.
धनेशो शत्रुगे शत्रोर्धनं प्राप्नोति निश्चितम् । शत्रुतो वित्तनाशः स्याज्जंघोर्वोर्भवेच्च रुक् ।।१३।।
If the 6th lord is in the 6th house, then one will obtain wealth from enemies, wealth will be destroyed by children, and there will be disease in the thighs and abdomen.
धनेशो सप्तमे वैद्यः परजायाभिगामिनः । जाया तस्य भवेद्वेश्या माता च व्यभिचारिणी ।।१४।।
If the 2nd lord is in the 7th house, the native is a physician and is inclined towards women.
धनेशो मृत्युगेहस्थे भूमिद्रव्यं लभेद् ध्रुवम् । जायासौख्यं भवेत्स्वल्पं ज्येष्ठभ्रातृसुखं न हि ।।१५।।
If the 2nd lord is in the 8th house, the native gains underground wealth, has little happiness from a wife, and does not have happiness from an elder brother.
धनेशो नवमे लाभे धनवानुद्यमी पटुः । बाल्ये रोगी सुखी पश्चाद्याववदायुः समाप्यते ।।१६।।
If the 2nd lord is in the 9th house or the 11th house, then the native is wealthy, industrious, and learned.

If the 2nd lord is in the 9th house or the 11th house, then the native is wealthy, industrious, and learned.
धनेशो व्ययगे ज्ञानी साहसी धनवर्जितः । जीविका नृपगेहाच्च ज्येष्ठपुत्रसुखं न हि ।।१८।।
If the 2nd lord is in the 12th house, the native is knowledgeable, courageous, and earns a living from a king's house, and is devoid of the happiness of the eldest son.
