Phaladīpikā — the names of the house
राज्यं गोमहिषसुगन्धवस्त्रभूषाः पातालं हिबुकसुखाम्बुसेतुनद्यः । राजाङ्कं सचिवकरात्मधीभविष्यज्ज्ञानाम्नः सुतजठरश्रुतिस्मृतीश्च ॥
TranslationHouse, land, maternal uncle, a sister's son, a relation, a friend, vehicle, mother, kingdom, cow, buffalo, perfume, clothes, ornaments, the nadir, Hibuka (हिबुक), Sukha (सुख happiness), water, bridge and river are the terms to denote the 4th house. Rajanka (राजाङ्क-Sovereign's mark), a minister, Kara (कर-tax, hand or toll), Athman (आत्मन्), intelligence (धी-Dhi), knowledge of the future, Asu (असु-life), son (सुत-Suta), belly (जठर-Jatara), Sruti (श्रुति-Vedic knowledge) and Smriti (स्मृति-traditional law) are the names of the 5th house.

सुखेशे लग्नगे वापि पितृपुत्रौ च स्नेहलौ । पितृपक्षवैरिकलितं पितृनाम्ना प्रसिद्धं च ।।२६।।
If the 4th lord is in the lagna, there is affection between the father and son, enmity with the uncle, etc., and fame by the father's name.
सर्वसम्पद्युतो मानी साहसी कुहकान्वितः । कुटुम्बसंयुतो भोगी सुखेशे च धनस्थिते ।।२७।।
If the 4th lord is in the 2nd house, then the native is endowed with all wealth, is respected, courageous, deceitful, is associated with family, and is indulgent.
सुखेशे सहजे लाभे नित्यरोगी भवेन्नरः । उदारो गुणवान्दाता स्वभुजार्जितवित्तवान् ।।२८।।
If the 4th lord is in the 3rd or 11th house, the native is always ill, generous, virtuous, a giver, and produces wealth through their own efforts.
तुर्येशो तुर्यगे मन्त्री भवेत्सर्वधनाधिपः । चतुरः शीलवान् मानी धनाढ्यः स्त्रीप्रियः सुखी ।।२९।।
If the 4th lord is in the 4th house, then the minister is endowed with all kinds of wealth, clever, virtuous, proud, wealthy, fond of women, and happy; in the 5th, he is happy, beloved by all, devoted to Vishnu, proud, and wealthy by his own efforts.
तुर्येशे पञ्चमे भाग्ये सुखी सर्वजनप्रियः। विष्णुभक्तिरतो मानी स्वभुजार्जितवित्तवान्।।३०।।
If the 4th lord is in the 5th or 9th house, the native is happy, beloved by all, a devotee of Vishnu, respected, and generates wealth through his own prowess.
सुखेशो शत्रुगेहस्थे सदा स्याद्बहुयातृकः। क्रोधी चौरोऽभिचारी च दुष्टचित्तो मनस्व्यपि।।३१।।
If the 4th lord is in the 6th house, then the native is always very wandering, angry, a thief, one who performs black magic, of wicked mind, and powerful.
सुखेशो सप्तमे लग्ने बहुविद्यासमन्वितः। पित्रार्जितधनत्यागी सभायां मूकवद्भवेत्।।३२।।
If the 4th lord is in the 7th house, the native is endowed with many sciences, gives up the wealth acquired by the father, and is mute in the assembly.
सुखेशे व्ययरन्ध्रस्थे सुखहीनो भवेन्नरः। पितृसौख्यं भवेदल्पं क्लीबो वा जारजोऽपि वा।।३३।।
If the 4th lord is in the 12th house, the native is devoid of happiness and has little happiness from the father, being either impotent or born of a prostitute.
तुर्येशे पञ्चमे भाग्ये सुखी सर्वजनप्रियः। विष्णुभक्तिरतो मानी स्वभुजार्जितवित्तवान्।।३०।।
If the 4th lord is in the 5th or 9th house, the native is happy, beloved by all, a devotee of Vishnu, respected, and generates wealth through his own prowess.

Phaladīpikā's list for the 4th house is quoted above in full; the kāraka graha for it is Moon, and SIA reads its lord's placement first for any question that belongs to it.
Where is the lord of the 4th house good or bad?
Parāśara does not rank the twelve placements; he states a result for each, and the closing verses of the chapter say every result scales with the lord's strength. SIA weighs the placement with the lord's ṣaḍbala before it prints a verdict.
