Candra — Moon

The Moon is the mind of the Kāla-puruṣa and, with the Sun, a king among the grahas. Round-bodied, fair, sweet-spoken and restless in Parāśara's description; the mother, the mind and the waters in Phaladīpikā's list. The Moon's birth nakṣatra is the seed of the whole Vimśottarī daśā, and the Moon's sign and star are what Kundli Milan compares.

What SIA does with this

SIA computes Moon's sidereal longitude for the birth moment from its own Sūryasiddhānta model, places it in the rāśi, bhāva and all sixteen vargas, states its dignity (exaltation, debilitation, mūlatrikoṇa, own or friendly sign), and fires every rule in its store whose condition names Moon — each printed with its verse. The graha's position and daśā periods are part of the free chart view.
