सिंहः सूर्याधिपः सत्त्वी चतुष्पात्क्षत्रियो बली। शीर्षोदयी बृहद्गात्रः पाण्डुः पूर्वेद्युवीर्यवान्।।१२।।

RenderingSiṃha is sattvic, four-footed, of the kṣatriya varṇa, strong, rises by its head, is large-bodied and pale, rules the east, is strong by day, and Sūrya is its lord.

TranslationIf a person be born when the Ascendant is Simha, he will have reddish eyes, large chin, and a broad face: he will be arrogant and powerful. He will be angry at trifles; he would like to go to forests and hills, will be obedient to his mother and firm-minded.
