D20 — viṃśāṃśa
The viṃśāṃśa (D20) divides every sign into 20 equal parts of 1°30′ and gives each part a sign of its own, so a graha's D20 position is a sign in a second chart. Parāśara names it among the sixteen vargas, gives the rule for assigning its signs, and in the viveka chapter says it is consulted for worship, spiritual practice. SIA computes it for every kundli, with whole-sign houses from the D20 lagna, and reads it alongside the rāśi chart for that matter.
