Ārdrā is the 6th of the twenty-seven nakṣatras, the 13°20′ arc from 66°40′ to 80° of the sidereal zodiac, within Mithuna (Gemini). A Moon born here opens the Vimśottarī cycle in the daśā of Rahu (18 years), with only the untraversed fraction of the arc remaining. In Kundli Milan its gaṇa is manuṣya, its yoni śvāna (dog), its nāḍī ādi.
