Rohiṇī is the 4th of the twenty-seven nakṣatras, the 13°20′ arc from 40° to 53°20′ of the sidereal zodiac, within Vṛṣabha (Taurus). A Moon born here opens the Vimśottarī cycle in the daśā of Moon (10 years), with only the untraversed fraction of the arc remaining. In Kundli Milan its gaṇa is manuṣya, its yoni sarpa (serpent), its nāḍī antya.
